One of main problem for workers in garment industry who produce international brands is lack of control and responsibility from buyer upon working condition and worker’s rights. Instead, buyers only care about achievement of production served by employer who received order from buyer. As the result, poor quality of working condition and violation of worker’s rights happening all the time. This practice also happened to workers in PT. Uni Enlarge Industry Indonesia, member of Congress of Indonesian Unions Alliance (KASBI), who lived under uncertain situation after the last dispute in company.

Zij hebben het bedrijf bezet en zijn 24 uur per dag aanwezig. “We gaan door totdat we krijgen waar we recht op hebben”, stelt Lisnar, een naaister uit dit bedrijf en overtuigd vakbondslid.
